Norah’s Fine Art Mermaid Session
Where do I even begin… this session was about 10 months in the making and so much fun from start to finish! Norah reached out to me last winter while I was still living in North Carolina. We went over a few different fine art themes and Norah decided on a mermaid session! We could not have asked for better weather the day of the shoot and all of the little details fell right into place. Together we created three fine art images and captured some more traditional portraits as well – Norah rocked them all!!

Lighting the Way
This is one of the fine art images from the session titled “Lighting the Way”. It was a fun one to edit! The original image was taken during the day, the fog and light from the lantern were all added during the editing process.

Mermaid Cove
This is one of the only times I’ve edited the same image as a fine art photo and as a regular portrait. The image on the left is the fine art edit, it’s moodier than the portrait edit on the right. I added a waterfall for effect and changed the background to make it seem like Norah was in a cove.
